NVNA and Hospice Celebrates 90th Anniversary at South Shore YMCA's Annual Fall Family Festival, October 23
Online, October 13, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The festival is free to the public and offers family fun and education with games, prizes, treats, a moon bounce and hayrides. NVNA and Hospice clinicians will also provide free health screenings such as bone density, oxymetry readings and blood pressure screenings.
Who: NVNA and Hospice was founded in 1920 in the basement of Norwell's Town Hall. Now, 90 years later, the agency's mission of "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" continues as it serves over 500 patients a day, and offers an average of 45 free community health screenings, educational programs and support groups each month in over 25 communities on the South Shore, from Quincy to Plymouth.
The South Shore YMCA's areas of focus, youth development, healthy living and social responsibility are accomplished through its abundance of programs offered to all ages, and over 600 volunteers providing assistance.
