NYC Company Gives Away Free Land iin Hawaii

Hawaii is already one of the country's most popular states but now is even more so because of the free land that a New York City company is giving away.

New York - Hawaii is one of the country's most popular states and now, because of a free land giveaway of "mini-parcels" of land on the Internet, it has become even more popular and attractive to those so inclined to owning teeny bits of real estate.

Hawaii has been the most sought-after of all states in which to own land. And within the past several months, hundreds of thousands of people have plunked down payments-in-full for their mini-lots with an "Ocean View" on the Big Island of Hawaii. But now, for a limited time, they are being given away free. American Acres Inc., owner of the full one acre of land, has "sub-divided" the parcels to one square inch in size. Yes one-inch by one-inch of terra firma.

The offering has keep the Internet buzzing with what some has labeled as the next "pet rock." Anyone who visits the Own a Piece of America website at http://www.ownapieceofamerica.com also can become the proud owner of land in other properties all across the country as well. American Acres owns one acre of land in all 50 states. With each acre containing 6,272,640 square inches and with there being 50 acres, the total number of "lots" available for the taking number well over 300 million. And owners get the option to get legal Land Deeds to property in any state of their choosing or can even buy a Deed to ALL 50 states on one individual Deed.

The land now owned by American Acres was purchased state by state, acre by acre, 25 years ago, and now is being offered inch by inch to all takers. (The land in Hawaii was purchased by American Acres in 1981). The company sought and received "no action" letters from the SEC and New York Attorney General that the sale of these "lots" would not be deemed the sale of a security and that they are being sold as novelty items with no financial benefits being transferred along with the sales. Landowners therefore cannot sell for profit or receive any kind of financial benefit whatsoever.

American Acres is indeed hoping that it catches on...well, not like wildfire...and claims that most buyers have been purchasing the land as birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, wedding Anniversary gifts, and graduation gifts on their gift web site http://www.ownapieceofamerica.us and http://www.veryclevergifts.com.

Other popular states, as determined by the number of new mini-land barons in American Acres' online database, include California, New York, Florida, and Alaska in that order.
