NYIT comes third in Karting

The Karting team representing New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) came third in the final round that took place at Jordan Speed Center with the participation of 13 corporate teams.

The Karting team representing New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) came third in the final round that took place at Jordan Speed Center with the participation of 13 corporate teams.

The championship witnessed heated competition, with NYIT team comprising Mahmoud Marabeh, Ahmad Sukhtian and Hassan Deirani. NYIT came after Umnia and Mercedes.

Sukhtian started karting races in 2006. He won the second place in Jordan Championship 2007 and has recently taken part in the international karting race that took place in Italy, where he came in the 35th place among 215 participants representing various world countries.

Meanwhile, Marabeh won the Ramadan tournament, where he topped the professionals' category by the end of the third and final round of the championship, which was also staged on Jordan Speed Center under the supervision of Jordan's karting champion, Hamzah Dirani.

NYIT is a non-profit university that opened a branch in Jordan in 2002, under an academic agreement with Jordan University for Science and Technology. The university is comprised of three faculties offering an array of courses. They are: the Business Administration, Computer Science and Fine Art faculties.
