Observer & Eccentric Presents Spring Senior Expo at Schoolcraft College VisTaTech Center Hosts Annual Event

Observer & Eccentric presents the 13th Annual Spring Senior Expo, on Tuesday, April 5th from to 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center at Schoolcraft College located at 18600 Haggerty Road in Livonia.

​Observer & Eccentric presents the 13th Annual Spring Senior Expo, on Tuesday, April 5th from to 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the VisTaTech Center at Schoolcraft College located at 18600 Haggerty Road in Livonia.

This annual tradition features diverse demonstrations & workshops, local business exhibitors, prizes, free admission, free parking, and free refreshments.  Learn to live healthy, make wise financial decisions and enhance life to make it the best ever. 

Observer & Eccentric will again bring back the crowd pleasing door prize promotion.  The first 100 attendees will receive a Buddy’s Pizza coupon for a free pizza.  In addition, there will also be hourly drawings throughout the day for other prizes.

Refreshments are made possible in part by Twisted Rooster, Leo’s Coney Island of Livonia, and SMART.  The 2016 Spring Senior Expo tote bags are made possible in part by sponsors Crystal Creek Assisted Living and Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services.

The Spring Senior Expo features nine dynamic demonstrations & workshops by various subject matter experts.  This year there are three sponsored featured speaker workshops presented by Maurice Cox and Michelle Moccia of St. Mary Mercy Livonia; Rick Bloom of Bloom Asset Management, and Dr. Sol Cogan of HealthQuest Management, Inc.

Bloom, Observer & Eccentric guest columnist and frequent metro Detroit radio and television guest, will be one of the featured guest speaker and will speak on “Everything You Need to Know about Estate Planning”.  Dr. Cogan, CEO/President of HealthQuest Management, Inc. and Detroit Lions team chiropractor will speak on New Technology in Pain Relief.  Duo speakers Cox, Injury Prevention Specialist and Moccia, Program Director, both of St. Mary Mercy Livonia, will speak on Healthcare Decisions.

Additionally, a Spring Senior Expo special publication will be inserted into all Observers, Novi News, Northville Record, Milford Times, and South Lyon Herald newspapers on Thursday, March 31st and in all Eccentric newspapers on Sunday, April 3rd.  This special publication will feature articles, interests and resources for seniors. 

The publication will also include participating local business exhibitors and information on all demonstrations & workshops being offering for this year’s event.   A complete list of speakers are listed below.
