October proves banner month for Silver Eagle Manufacturing Company
Silver Eagle Manufacturing has its best shipping and manufacturing month ever, in 73 years of building capital goods for the military and over-the-road trucking industries.
Online, November 3, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Portland, Oregon -- Silver Eagle Manufacturing Company, the global leader in military trailers and converter dollies is celebrating its largest production month ever, building and shipping nearly 1900 units, representing a broad array of wheeled transportation equipment products for the military and over-the-road trucking industries, during October.
"This has been our best month since we started operations in 1936," said Jay Wilson, Silver Eagle Manufacturing CEO and president. "We are very proud of how our sales and manufacturing groups really stepped up to make this happen."
Among the products built and finished in October were trailers pulled by military HMMWVs, converter dollies pulled by heavy duty trucks that run double and triple configurations, and aerodynamic trailer devices that are added to long-haul trucks to lower fuel consumption by more than 4%.
Silver Eagle Manufacturing Company is privately held corporation employing over 200 people. Its operations are near Portland International Airport at 5825 NE Skyport Way.
