Offering Leno some options
Online, March 14, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Jaws Jumbo Burgers in the Detroit suburb of Farmington Hills has offered Leno, who is moving back to NBC late night from his primetime spot, the opportunity to franchise his very own location of the restaurant in Burbank, Calif. The restaurant also posted the offer in an ad in the Los Angeles Daily News.
Paul Porter, manager at Jaws Jumbo, said the restaurant has heard back from "The Tonight Show" host after making the offer. "He gave two free shows here in Detroit last year," Porter said, "and we thought it would be a nice way to say "thank you" The restaurant does have on its menu the "Thank You Jay Leno Burger," which includes two third-pound ground sirloin patties, mushrooms, four strips of bacon, and double Swiss- American cheese for $10.25. For lighter appetites, Jaws offers the Kevin Eubanks," named for Leno's musical director, with one patty. "Kevin really isn't any less of a man, " Porter said, but he does appear smaller than Jay."
