Ohio-based Lake Health Selects Digisonics CVIS

Lake Health in Concord, Ohio has selected the Digisonics Cardiovascular Information System for their echo and cath studies.

Lake Health in Concord, Ohio recently selected Digisonics as the Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS) Solution for their facilities.

Lake Health will employ the Digisonics CVIS for structured reporting of their echo and cath studies. The added Digisonics DigiNet Pro application will provide clinicians with fully functional remote reading capabilities. Users will have secure web-based access to the entire cardiovascular information and structured reporting system for fast image review and report from anywhere at any time via Citrix. The single CVIS database will also include Digisonics Search, a powerful data analysis and mining tool for advanced statistical queries.

The Digisonics CVIS solution will be fully integrated directly with Cedaron for ACC-NCDR data collection and Philips cath lab systems via HemoLink, which autopopulates the Digisonics database and reports with data from the hemodynamics system. Lake Health users will also have access to cardiac cath image analysis and quantitation capabilities via seamless integration of Digisonics with Medis Q-Angio.

Lake Health will create a seamless digital workflow with improved efficiency, accuracy and turnaround times via Digisonics interfaces to their incumbent systems. HL7 interfaces for Orders In and Results Out will create a fully electronic workflow between Digisonics and Lake Health's Siemens Syngo system.

An added upgrade to the Results Out interface, DigiLink, will embed a hyperlink to a PDF copy of the finalized report in the HL7 message. The DICOM Server will integrate Digisonics directly with Lake Health's Philips iSite PACS. It will enable manual DICOM Query/Retrieve of digital images from Philips as well as automatic Query/Retrieve (Prefetch) of digital images from the PACS triggered by receipt of an HL7 orders message and/or a new imaging study received from a modality. DICOM Modality Worklist and DataLink modules will automate transfer of patient biometry to and from Lake Health's Philips ultrasound machines with the Digisonics CVIS, significantly reducing manual data entry time.
