Omni Events' Team Shares Post-Conference Excitement

Members of the Omni Events team recently returned from an industry conference. These individuals shared their enthusiasm for what they learned at the event and how it will be applied to their workplace.

As Perry noted, the conference offered the Omni Events associates who participated a glimpse into the interactive marketing industry, including upcoming trends and techniques that could be beneficial to their campaigns. “From the keynote speakers who offer inspiring information to the breakout sessions in which colleagues from other regions share their insights, there’s just a flood of knowledge,” he stated. “You spend the time thinking ‘ooh, we could try that’ and ‘how could we make this work in our region?’ We took great notes and made some powerful connections we can tap into when we’re ready to implement these ideas into our campaigns.”

Networking is one of the other key reasons Perry supports sending team members to these functions. “The conference is a great opportunity to reunite with business partners you haven’t connected with in a while,” he said. “It’s wonderful to network with likeminded people.”

Perry indicated that while some firms might eschew conferences for budget and resource purposes, he’s glad that Omni Events’ managers see the value in them. “We definitely use these conferences as one of our training tools, along with individual coaching and hands-on experiences,” he stated. “It’s something that our associates work hard to earn the opportunity to attend.”

According to Perry, it’s also exciting for team members to step outside of the office confinements and work together in a unique setting. “You form bonds with your team when you’re in a different location,” he said. “Basically, the roles we see each other in tend to vanish as we’re sharing a new experience together. This is paid forward when we’re working together later on.”
