Onésimus Defense Awarded US Navy IDIQ Contract

Summerville, SC, February 8, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Onésimus Defense, a South Carolina based Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business that provides defense and safety services to numerous federal and state-level agencies, announced today that its Safety Services Division has been selected as the sole-awardee for a five-year IDIQ contract with the US Naval Safety and Environmental Training Center (NAVSAFENVTRACEN), headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia.  Fulfilling the requirements of this award, Onésimus Defense’s Safety Services Division will be providing the NAVSAFENVTRACEN with curriculum development, management and a cadre of professional instructors for the development of the Navy’s Competent Persons Fall Protection program of study.    

Under this five-year global program, Onésimus Defense will partner with US Navy engineers and safety professionals in Norfolk, San Diego, Pearl Harbor, Pascagoula, as well as various ports within Japan and Italy.  Working in concert with the US Navy Safety and Environmental Training personnel, Onésimus Defense will develop and deliver a comprehensive Competent Persons Fall Protection program of study encompassing all aspects of fall protection, from hazard recognition to fall-arrest rescue plans and procedures for use at all US Navy ashore facilities.
