NEW YORK, NY., November 11, 2010 - The ACADEMi of Life (TAoL) presents an evening in Concert and Conversation with author, composer, Emmy Award-winning Musician and Philanthropist, Peter Buffett.

You may think that with a last name like his, Buffett has enjoyed a life of endless privilege. But the son of billionaire investor Warren Buffett says that the only real inheritance handed down from his parents was a philosophy: forge your own path in life regardless of your circumstances. It is a creed that has allowed him to follow his own passions, establish his own identity, and reap his own successes.

Life Is What You Make It: A Concert & Conversation with Peter Buffett," is a 90-minute live performance featuring Peter Buffett on piano with cellist, Michael Kott.
Using his own life story and experiences as illustration Buffett takes us on a musical conversational journey of his life. With integrity and candor he delivers an uplifting and rewarding evening that will resonate with every audience member looking to lead a more fulfilling life and leave a meaningful legacy.

The event is the live companion to Buffett's recently released book, Life Is What You Make It which debuted at #4 on the New York Times Best Seller Hardcover Advice list.

Buffett began his career writing music for commercials and has released 15 albums. He is known for scoring the memorable "Fire Dance" scene in the Oscar-winning film Dances with Wolves and performed at the film's premiere. He has collaborated with singer AKON to produce music to inspire others to take action and make a difference. His $1 billion NoVo Foundation is focused on the empowerment of young women around the world.

''Life is What You Make It: A Concert & Conversation with Peter Buffett" is beyond doubt a must-see! We had the pleasure of hosting Peter's special performance in Portland and all I can say is that Peter is one of the most talented and intriguing people I know. As a musician, he is a moving artist whose magic comes from his ability to combine humor with an open portrayal of his family, his life, his personal beliefs and his powerful music. I'm a huge fan.
