Online Career Advancement Enhances High School Equivalency Program (HiSEP)
Online Career Advancement (OCA) is updating, and upgrading, its high school equivalency exam preparation program (HiSEP) in direct response to changes to the GED testing options.
Online, December 18, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Online Career Advancement (OCA), an online publisher of self-paced educational, employment and career preparation programs, recently announced that its Unlimited GED Practice Tests program will now be referred to as the High School Equivalency Program (HiSEP). HiSEP, still being developed, is expected to launch in January of 2014; HiSEP will maintain the numerous interactive and engaging components that encompass OCA's current high school equivalency program, and will consist of additional lessons, quizzes, resources and references.
OCA's HiSEP will continue to cover each of the five subject areas that comprise the traditional GED Tests: Social Studies, Language Arts Reading, Mathematics, Science, and Language Arts Writing.
Improvements in the new high school equivalency program will further distinguish HiSEP from other online, DVD/CD, and text book high school practice tests providers, which may offer just a few practice tests that participants repeat over and over again simply memorizing the answers eventually. OCA's HiSEP courses have several databases which create unique quizzes and tests at random from a pool of thousands of questions and answers related to each of the five core subject areas; in fact, OCA will continue to guarantee HiSEP participants a unique testing experience upon each attempt (equivalent to numerous high school text books, CDs or DVDs).
"Since most college course, and pre-employment, tests are still offered via paper and pencil, we were not comfortable developing our new courses in line with a totally computer-based GED program; HiSEP will prepare participants for both paper and computer-based high school equivalency exams," said Sarah Diamond, a Lead Program Developer at Online Career Advancement in Washington, DC, USA. She added, "this is the primary reason why we are focusing our attention more on the ETS (Educational Testing Service) HiSET (High School Equivalency Test) and the McGraw Hill TASC (Test Assessing Secondary Completion)."
Online Career Advancement's HiSEP lessons and quizzes were created based upon similar programs that adhere to common core standards and guidelines. HiSEP utilizes a private secure online learning management system and provides participants with an engaging and interactive experience. The learning management system provides each participant with state-of-the-art online training features used by colleges and universities around the world. Numerous supplemental resources, references, and tutorial links are available from within the courses; which are accessible 24 hours and 7 days a week from anywhere in the world. The program offers a dedicated administrator, student support services, facilitators for each course, and technical support.
Registration fees will be very affordable and special discounts are available for pre-enrollment. Updates can be viewed at http://hisep.org/.
