Operation Morale Boost Launches Oct 9th

Wounded warriors to benefit from weekend events in Hollywood and the Playboy Mansion, thanks to Motorcycle Charity Associates

MCA's Operation Morale Boost weekend of events, is about to make a difference in the lives of some very fortunate wounded warriors. During the October 8-10 Columbus Day Weekend, the Motorcycle Charity Associates, (MCA), will gear up for a weekend of parties, parades, charity motorcycle rides and the main celebration at the Playboy Mansion for the 4th Annual Leather Meets Lace red carpet charity event October 9th. The weekend will support MCA's ongoing mission to produce and promote events for worthwhile 501(c)(3) charities, sharing a common goal in supporting research, education, community programs, health services and advocacy efforts. This year, the chosen charities include Iraq Star Foundation and Heroes Night Out.

There's nothing better than to share the smiles, motivation and support created by friends and colleagues coming together to support our nations heroes. Many of the soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan suffer from PTSD, are missing limbs, have extreme facial dis-figuration, burns and mental scars difficult for us to see. Soon, there will be an epidemic of soldiers returning from war that will need our support. Our returning wounded warriors hold the highest rate of divorce and suicide and MCA is determined to help bring awareness to these issues.

"Morale is most important to our returning soldiers. Especially those who have suffered injuries and are trying to acclimate back into civilian life." states Billy Gordon, Executive Director of Motorcycle Charity Associates Inc. "We are trying to make a life changing difference for our troops by working together with corporations and private sponsors, to raise awareness and funding. In addition, we are bringing some vets out for a weekend of special events, including our Playboy Mansion Charity Event."

One of the main weekend events includes the MCA VIP Motorcycle Celebrity Charity Ride and Parade, starting in the heart of Hollywood, at Hollywood & Highland. Sections of Hollywood Blvd will be closed for this red carpet charity ride, which will be led by the United States Army, joined by a host of celebrities supporting the troops. The ride travels the scenic route of PCH, ending with a tasty Brunch in Topanga Canyon. All motorcycle enthusiasts are welcome to join the festivities and registration information can be found on the MCA web site.

The event then moves to the famed Playboy Mansion later that evening for the sexy 4th Annual 'Leather Meets Lace' charity red carpet celebration. Celebrities, motorcycle enthusiasts and some of our wonderful warriors will be in attendance as MCA continues to raise awareness and funding for other charities doing such great work. Highlighted charities, Heroes Night Out and the Iraq Star Foundation, who will have their custom built American Chopper camouflage bike on display, will be on hand to share their work.
