Organic Salon Systems Concept Salon Celebrated Earth Week by Teaching Children About Art and Conservation
Online, April 19, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The B Hive Salon hosted their first annual children's Earth Week event last Monday. Children from the community participated in a recycled art project on the Eco Art Bus taking recycled Organic Color Systems hair color bottles and turning them into "bees" for the recycled beehive display. They also painted brown paper bags for a display at Whole Foods in Paramus, New Jersey. The bags will be displayed at Bergen Town Center and given out to patrons of the store on Earth Day.
"We are proud to be affliated with a caring salon such as the B-Hive" Said Troy Raszka, Marketing Director for Organic Salon Systems, "Not only is Angela and her team impassioned about the the organic hair products and practices that they use in their salon, but they also care about educating and enriching their community by supporting green efforts such as the Eco Art Bus!"
The event also had local beekeepers from Herbertsville Honey. The children were able to see some of the tools used in keeping bees and collecting honey. They also were able to see live bees in a self-contained observation hive. The day ended with a visit from the Hillsdale Girl Scouts and everyone enjoyed honey treats, beehive cupcakes with organic milk and juices donated by Whole Foods.
