Organic style: fashion models get educated about liquid gold

On September 10, 2009, the highlight at the 2009 Aspen Social Club fashion show will be new co-sponsor: Bio Leaf, S. r. l. making its American debut.

On September 10, 2009, the highlight at Aspen Social Club's Fashion event was the venue's first organic olive oil tasting session offered by the event's new co-sponsor: Bio Leaf S. r. l. making its U.S. debut. The International Organic Food Products Company, headquartered in Italy, was approached by fashion models to unveil its latest designer- inspired concept bottle of extra virgin olive oil from Italy.

The crowd was tremendously responsive to the new design. Never has organic olive oil been bottled in such a fashion. The trendy image the brand has portrayed coincided perfectly during fashion week.

Apparently, there are much more usages of organic olive oil than most people think. The models claim that not only do they use olive oil for consumption, but also as a skin and hair moisturizer that helps fight cancer. According to fashion model Sarah B., "Olive oil has been considered throughout Mediterranean history as liquid gold." She said, "The general public finds itself at the beginning stage of rediscovering the other beneficial factors of this commodity, such as skin care products, cosmetics and hair care."

Although "models moisturizing themselves" were not seen at the event, there was an overwhelming response at the tasting. However, not every type of olive oil is fit for such use. According to a Bio Leaf representative, Steve Esposito, "Olive oil that is not certified organic means that they use pesticides to treat the olives and these pesticides are transferred to the bottled when the olives are pressed."

Aspen Social's Head Chef claims, "The quality of the oil is far beyond my expectations. Usually, breakthrough designs and concepts mean inferior in quality, yet Bio Leaf's olive oil is smooth and refreshing. The aroma of this oil is simply unique!"

"The concept brand has been picking up a lot of attention ever since its launch in Europe," said Shawn Goh, Director of Business Development for EccoExports (sister company of Bio Leaf), who is finalizing the details of distributing to Globes in Switzerland, as well as Eataly and La Rinascente Food Delicatesen in Italy. The product will be available in U.S. stores for Christmas sales."

Bio Leaf was founded with a unique concept in that organic food products utilizing eco-friendly cultivation can be trendy and fashionable. The company's focus specifically caters to the benefits of consumers as well as mother earth.
