Don't miss ORGANICS (Music) a FREE hour-long Podcast featuring music and interviews from upcoming and established Irish musicians which is uploaded on iTunes every two weeks. The aim of the show is to expand the opportunities for Irish bands and singers on an international scale whether they are signed or unsigned acts.

To date ORGANICS (Music) has featured interviews with Julie Feeney, Johnny Duhan, Alice Jago, Colm Lynch, Rory Faithfield, The Last Tycoons, Jezzebelle and upcoming guests include Duke Special, Cathy Davy, The Saw Doctors, Paddy Casey and David Geraghty of Bell X1 Fame.

ORGANICS (Music) was set up by Garry Kelly, former lead singer and bassist of rock band Epidemic and Komatose and Producer and Presenter of The Garry Kelly Show in Galway Bay FM.

Through working in both the Music and Radio Industry, Garry is consistently being exposed to Irish music and has seen a huge surge in the number of new Irish bands and songs being released in Ireland.

"I was delighted to see the range of fresh music being released by new Irish bands. Getting airplay can be difficult for emerging artists so through the use of my resources and knowledge, I decided to set up ORGANICS (Music) which gives established and new Irish musicians an opportunity to be heard by wider audiences.
Making an IMRO licensed music-based podcast available on iTunes allows people to listen to the podcast at their own convenience and in their own comfort. It also taps into new technology in that it is instantly archived and available, which sets it apart from a radio show."

Six out of the twelve Podcasts have been uploaded so far to iTunes and there has been a great reaction to the new service, with the highest number of downloads being in Ireland, followed by the Czech Republic, Spain, the UK and America. Episode Seven which airs on June 30th will feature interviews and music from Paddy Casey and David Geraghty of Bell X1 Fame.

Most Podcasts are solely talk-based, but ORGANICS (Music) differs in that it is a music-based podcast specially licensed by the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) with all unregistered artists just needing to give their permission for their music to feature on the show.
