Online, February 20, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Orlando Pediatric Dentist Jason Sotto DMD is taking Oral Health to the classroom this winter. Dr. Sotto will visit 15 schools in Orange County as a part of Children's Dental Health Month.
Sponsored each February by the American Dental Association (ADA), Children's Dental Health Month raises awareness about the importance of oral health. Developing good habits at an early age and regular dental visits help children get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.
"Children's teeth are meant to last. With proper care, a balanced diet and regular dental visits we can keep their teeth healthy and strong," said Dr. Sotto. The fun programs emphasize proper brushing and flossing techniques as well as the overall importance of good oral health.
Dr Sotto is accompanied by the ever popular Al the Alligator. Al allows the students to see important dental habits played out before their eyes. This interactive exchange makes the program entertaining and informative. Students walk away understanding the proper techniques for brushing and flossing and why they are important.
Dr Sotto's visits include the following Orange County Elementary Schools:
