Outbid Launches Video Contest To Find The Next Great Online Auctioneer

Contestants Can Put Their Sales and Performance Skills to the Test, And Win $2,000, With a Video Demonstrating Their Auction-Room Acumen

Outbid (outbid dot com), the live online auction service that combines the theater and transparency of live auctions with social and gaming features, is launching a video contest to find the next great auctioneer. The winner whose video captures all the showmanship, flash and auctioneering expertise that have made Outbid auctions such a phenomenon wins $2,000.

Because Outbid captures the excitement of a live auction online, and also on the iPhone or iPad, the company is seeking those who can charismatically deliver the quick, fun patter to entertain auction participants while running one of Outbid's fast-paced live auction-style events. Those with the ability to deliver that perfect mix of color commentary and playful chatter - and a knack for inspiring others to step up to a challenge - make the best Outbid auctioneer. The winner will take home the cash prize as well as the chance to co-host five Outbid auctions.

Entries must be submitted by July 6. The winner will be announced on July 25.

Complete submission instructions are at wizehive dot com/contests/outbids-auctioneer-contest.

"Outbid brings the fun of a live auction online, so we want to see who out there has the performance, salesmanship and even wrangling skills to host one of our online auctions," said Outbid CEO Dan Granger. "Whether they're stand-up comics, skilled sales people or just the kind of person who can work a room, anyone who thinks they've got what it takes is invited to join in."
