Outer Banks local artist, E.M. Corsa puts up an exhibition called "Silver Linings" in the N.C. Aquarium on Roanoke Island. Silver linings is a collection of 53 watercolors on display in the Aquarium's Nautilus Art Gallery. It is a documentation of a one-year discovery of weather, wonder and whimsy in the beautiful skies of the Outer Banks. Thus, visitors to the N.C. Aquarium on Roanoke Island will be able not only to discover the world beneath the waves, but also to put their heads in the clouds.

The exhibition is said to last til the 28th of September 2011. Also, this exhibition is considered a regular Aquarium admission.
E.M. Corsa, the artist behind "Silver Lining" has been a resident of Outer Banks' since 1995. An artist known for her complex water color art works, graceful images of animals and her fascinating collages of fabric, antique sheet music, and old maps has a wide collection of different art work genres made from various materials.

Outer Banks resident artist is an enthusiast of artworks involving clouds. She began studying and painting clouds in May 2000, and resolved to paint clouds meticulously observe them, outdoors, in all weather conditions for the entire year. She thinks it's more than a month of continuous practice for someone to be able to master something.

With such resolve, she painted almost daily, even several times a day sometimes and she remembers the circumstances of many of her emotions-inspired paintings. She also swamped herself with meteorology books. She also didn't lack inspiration. She drew a lot of it from John Constable (1776-1837), an English landscape painter who once wrote that "painting is but another word for feeling". Not only that, she constantly used her collection of ephemera, her "Over the Rainbow" music sheet and a favorite old postcard that said "Behind the clouds the sun is still shining". A number of items from her gallery was displayed in the exhibition.
