Owners of America: A Documentary About The End Of An Empire

Online, May 4, 2010 (Newswire.com) - NASHVILLE, TN - Imagination Only has announced the recently completed, Owners of America documentary. After a successful night at the Belcourt Theater in Nashville, the producers are releasing the film on DVD as of May 1st.

The film focuses on two college girls as they unfold the mystery of the American money system during a class project. One of the girls wanted answers when her life was turned upside down after her father lost his job due to the economic crash of 2008. This is not based on a true story....it is one.

Owners of America begins with the Revolutionary War discussing how money played a big role as the early American strives for freedom from British rule. The film explains how money was a prime reason for the war, and a big controversy well into the Lincoln era. The girls present the documentary in three sections. The second section focuses on what really happened around 2007-2008 that caused the economic hardships for so many families. After Emily's dad loses is job which effects her life in many ways, she and classmate Megan embark on a class project that reveals unbelievable discoveries.

"What makes it so interesting is that when you really grasp how the money system works in America, and the World, it becomes quite clear that it is the main problem in surviving this life as free citizens...and we don't even realize the problem is there..." says Emily Blair, star of the film. "Even though we are all to blame for the crash, even though we were just as much a part of the problem as anyone else, it's up to us to unite once and for all to change the world we live in."

The third section of the film, titled The End of an Empire, relates that this is not the demise of America itself...but America ceasing to be what it once was, an Empire. We are moving into the New World Order, where, the way a true Empire functions is dissolving away and things like the European Union are being formed which weakens boundaries and offers free trade and commerce.

The documentary contains interviews with Professors, William G. Domhoff, of the University of California, Santa Cruz, who wrote the book 'Who Rules America' which is in its sixth edition and Richard Walker, from the University of California at Berkeley, who has published many books and essays. They offer insights into the way the economy works and who is really running the world economy.

"We tried not to be left or right or get into religion or anything...its researched facts that we pulled together," says Megan. "But with anything one reads or hears, even on the evening news...especially on the evening news...we encourage everyone to go research it yourself. That's the real point of the film...to get people to look into this very important subject themselves and then make a decision."
