Oxxiom Wins iF Design Award 2018
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif., January 31, 2018 (Newswire.com) - True Wearables' Oxxiom, the world's first wireless, continuous, fully disposable, single-use pulse oximeter, was a winner of this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD, a world-renowned design prize. Each year, the world’s oldest independent design organization, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, organizes the iF DESIGN AWARD.
Oxxiom won over the 63-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world, with its original origami-style design. Over 6,400 entries were submitted from 54 countries in hopes of receiving the seal of quality.
For Marcelo Lamego, True Wearables' CEO, the uniqueness of Oxxiom's design is one of the reasons the device has received such a prestigious award. "True Wearables aims at changing the way medical devices are perceived, offering creative design solutions that focus on the patient's comfort and well-being, and the iF DESIGN AWARD confirms that we are in the right path."
