Painted Axe Completes King Biscuit & Crescent City Blues Commissions
Painted Axe has successfully completed commissions for the King Biscuit Blues Festival and the Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival.
Online, August 18, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Painted Axe has successfully completed commissions for the King Biscuit Blues Festival and the Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival.
"We are extremely happy with the way these commissions turned out," said Michael Gauf, of Painted Axe. "We have been sponsors of the King Biscuit for the last two years. The festival's look, feel and host city (Helena, AR) were on our creative minds when we designed this year's guitar. We paid close attention to the Cherry Street Historic District architecture. This year's guitar takes its inspiration from the murals downtown and the predominant red brick buildings."
The King Biscuit Blues Festival is considering a guitar raffle/auction as a fundraising effort.

"On the other hand, we are rookies to the Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival," Gauf continued. "We tried to capture the spirit of New Orleans and it blues and music heritage. We embrace the passion of the street musicians and those seemingly spontaneous concerts."
The Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival plan to auction off at the guitar as a fundraiser for the Heritage School of Music. Painted Axe will be attending the 2012 Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival in New Orleans, Oct 12-14, 2012.

Painted Axe now turns its attention to the Hyperion Music & Arts Festival in Spencer, IN, Sept. 14-15. "This marks one of our first forays into eclectic music, arts and camping festivals. We are excited about creating new relationships and look forward to rubbing elbows with the likes of Papadosio, Future Rock and The Ragbirds and all their fans."
In addition, Painted Axe will be holding its second art exhibit in downtown Indianapolis. During November, at least eight custom-painted guitars and basses will be displayed in the Indiana Artists space in Chase Tower, 1 E. Ohio St. All guitars will be for sale and make great one-of-a-kind holiday gifts.
Painted Axe is accepting new commissions.
