A little more than two months into 2012 and Painted Axe is pleased to announce several new commissions, portending an exciting and busy year.

Along with the return of some old friends, new relationships are being forged:
- Private Client (Springfield, IL) March
- Biscuit Miller (http://www.biscuitmiller.com), May 2012
- Blues Foundation (http://www.blues.org), May 2012
- Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival (http://www.jazzandheritage.org/blues-fest), October 2012
- King Biscuit Blues Festival (http://www.kingbiscuitfestival.com), October 2012
- The Blues Cruise (http://bluescruise.com), January 2013

"We are thrilled that the King Biscuit Blues Festival and the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise will be continuing their interest. But, we also are excited by the commitment from long-time friend Biscuit Miller and the Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival and the Blues Foundation," said Michael Gauf of Painted Axe.

The Blues Foundation's custom-painted guitar will be auctioned off during the 33rd Blues Music Awards, May 10 in Memphis, Tenn. Proceeds will to go to the foundation and its projects. The Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival will raffle their custom-painted guitar for their projects. It is anticipated the King Biscuit Blues Festival will reward a lucky volunteer with the guitar while the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise will include the guitar in the on-board charity auction.

"Whether it's an artist seeking to be more expressive with a custom-painted guitar or a special event seeking a new promotional method to raise money, Painted Axe exceeds expectations. We are very proud to be associated will all these groups and appreciate their trust and continued support," Gauf said. "This is turning into one of busiest years, but we are not at capacity yet."

In addition, Painted Axe will hold its second art exhibit during November at downtown Indianapolis's Chase Tower, 1 E. Ohio St. The exhibit will be on the 2nd floor between the two Chase Towers. All pieces will be for sale.
