PALCUS Announces National Conference to Be Held October 12-21
National Organization Pivots to All-Virtual Conference Amidst Restrictions Due to COVID-19 Pandemic
WASHINGTON, September 10, 2020 (Newswire.com) - The Portuguese-American Leadership Council of the United States (PALCUS) today announced their 2nd Bi-Annual National Conference. The PALCUS Virtual National Conference to be held in a series of online sessions running October 12 through the 21.
This year's conference theme is “Business Opportunities for Portuguese-Americans”. PALCUS has partnered with the Portugal-US Chamber of Commerce, aicep, the Embassy of Portugal and the Government of Portugal through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to put together multiple panels over 9 days.
“Our conference was supposed to be held in Miami, Florida this year, however due to COVID-19, we had to cancel our in-person event. Based on the success of our last National Conference, we decided to continue on and make our conference virtual,” said PALCUS Chairwoman Angela Simões. “With this year’s theme we will explore the various ways that Portuguese living in the United States can take advantage of programs and opportunities to start a business, buy real estate, invest in a business, and many other opportunities.”
The conference is free to attend. Those wishing to attend can register at palcus.org/virtual-conference.
Attendees will have the opportunity to virtually network by participating in a virtual wine-tasting curated by Rachel Farah Selections on October 16. The tasting is the only paid portion of the conference agenda and details for how to purchase and register can be found at palcus.org/virtual-conference.
