Pandamonium Play Centre To Be Replaced With Flats

Online, April 8, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Pandamonium Play Centre will soon be demolished as the building is beyond repair.

An indoor play facility in Uckfield is to be destroyed and replaced with flats and offices for a new wave of residents that will be moving into the area.

Pandamonium Play Centre used to be a play centre like any other. It was filled with indoor play equipment that parents could let their children pay on without the fear that they would end up injuring themselves.

This however, is now not the case. The play centre fell into a dilapidated state and is beyond economical repair. The roof of the building is leaking and needs to be replaced so that other works may be done inside. The roof however is made from asbestos and will cost over £400,000 to remove.

Because of this the business cannot make enough money back by starting to trade again to cover this and so will no longer be operational. The new flats and offices that will replace the building could be using the same steel structure because this part of the building is in a very good condition.

The case doesn't appear to be an indication of how other companies in the same industry are faring in the current climate though. Many indoor play facilities are flourishing in fact, and there is a high demand for their services around the country.

Understandably it is a huge struggle to set-up an indoor play facility, but many businesses offer advisory services that mean new company owners have first-hand advice of any potential foot-falls.

Pandamonium Play Centre is to be sorely missed by local residents, but a new indoor play facility will soon find its way into the area and local parents can again appreciate the service that these companies have to offer.
