Pangea Motors EV Selected by urban.systems to Partner in JLR Tech Incubator

Vancouver based Pangea Motors, LLC a designer, developer and manufacturer of electric vehicles (EV) in partnership with urban.systems, Inc a new company developing products and services for resilient and sustainable urban development programs -- was selected earlier this week to be part of the inaugural cohort of Jaguar Land Rover's (JLR) new tech incubator in Portland, OR.

​​The urban.systems team is one of the three winners selected by JLR's Portland based tech incubator kicking off later this month, as announced earlier this week at the Consumer Telematics Show in Las Vegas. Pangea's EV systems target large scale transportation infrastructure with unique experience developing right sized mobility innovation in both US and global markets.  A pilot project in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia will be the focus of one of the first urban.systems projects, part of the six month JLR innovation initiative. 

Together with one of the "world’s foremost automobile companies, Jaguar Land Rover, combined with urban.systems’ expertise and experience in 'smart cities,' analytics, communications, and information technology,"  as outlined in the announcement released earlier this week is anticipated to:

"The initial target is a fleet deployment in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Pangea Motors designs, develops and manufacturers low speed (LSV) and medium speed (MSV) on-road electric vehicles (EV). The company's leader and CEO Ken Montler prior to launching Pangea was one of the early founders of Global Electric Motor Cars (GEM).  As President/COO he took GEM from early start up, through sale to Daimler/Chrysler,  to becoming the leading provider for on-road  LSVs in the world. Montler is also a co-founder and a partner in urban.systems.
