Panic Room Company Gears Up For Shows In Madrid And London
Online, February 26, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Despite being on the market for less than a year, the Panic Room is becoming a global hit with distributors signed-up in the UK, Spain, South Africa and beyond. This month sees the innovative product on display with Spanish dealer, SIMEC, at SICUR 2012 (Salón Internacional de la Seguridad) in Madrid followed by April's Counter Terror Expo in London.
Steve Brook, Business Development Director for the Panic Room Company, explains, "Demand is coming from a wide cross-section of society from high net worth individuals safeguarding family and possessions to the close protection industry, cargo and leisure shipping to commercial property, each using the Panic Room as a last point of defence when under attack. By attending these Security Shows we can demonstrate on a face-to-face basis how cost-effective, portable and versatile the Panic Room is to our target market. And, with terrorism, ship piracy and household theft on the up, the timing could not be better for our one-of-a-kind product."
Running from 28 February to 2 March, SICUR attracted almost 40,000 trade visitors last time round and had representation from 70 countries - including those from South America, a huge growth market. The Show brings together public and private security, risk prevention in the workplace and fire safety, to create a comprehensive showcase that reflects an industry that is constantly evolving and innovating.
On home soil in from April 25 to 26, the Counter Terror Expo at London Olympia anticipates welcoming 9,000 visitors across the public and private sectors including Armed Forces, Customs, hoteliers, retailers and logistics experts. The Panic Room Company expects to be particularly busy as the product has applications in almost any industry and it can already count various Embassies, the Armed Forces and wealthy individuals amongst its clients.
A highlight of the Counter Terror Expo will be the gala dinner announcing the winners of the Counter Terror and Specialist Security Awards (CTSS). The Panic Room Company has reached the final in the category - Personal Protection and Equipment - and is hoping for success at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington on 25 April.
About the Panic Room - More cost-effective and practical than the masonry-built and steel-lined alternative, the Panic Room is a safe last point of defence and can be specified to withstand mechanical attacks, shotgun fire and more powerful weapon attacks. Each unit can be adapted to various levels of connectivity to complementary devices such as alarm systems, smoke screens or security cameras. Delivered flat-pack, the Panic Room can be installed in half a day with minimal manpower and be disguised to unobtrusively blend in with any environment. Although the time spent within is likely to be minimal, the Panic Room is comfortable and sustainable with external ventilation and air filtration, breathing equipment, lighting, back-up power supplies, fresh water and basic toilets all part of the concept.
