Parrish Construction Group Closes 2011 with Two New Projects

Georgia Company Wins ECP Distributors and Perry Fire Station No. 2

Parrish Construction Group will begin 2012 with two projects. The construction company, specializing in commercial, education and industrial projects for the public and private sector, was recently awarded the Perry Fire Station No. 2 project and an ECP Distributors project.

Although the official start date has yet to be determined, Parrish Construction Group will begin the Perry Fire Station No. 2 in the first or second quarter of 2012. The fire station will be a $900,000 design-build project. The project will be funded by the 2006 SPLOST (special purpose local option sales tax), and around $100,000 has been accrued from impact fees that will fund the station.

"We are very happy to be awarded this project," said Parrish Construction Group President and Founder Dave Cyr. "We are honored anytime we get the opportunity to build in our hometown of Perry, especially if it's for the brave firefighters here."

Along with the Perry Fire Station No. 2, Parrish Construction Group was recently awarded a new $1.4 million ECP project in Hawkinsville, GA. This project, which began December 1, includes two buildings: a new 8,000 square foot office building and a 5,000 square foot expansion to an existing warehouse. The warehouse will be expanded to increase housing space for medial supplies. Spaces including an open area for cubicles, a conference room, large offices, a break room and a fitness facility will be included in the new building.

"This is a great project to end the year," said Cyr. "ECP Distributors is a great health distribution company. Also, we're working with a good architecture firm in JMA Architecture, Inc. which is located in Perry as well."
