Online, June 16, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Despite challenging economic times, one Butte, Montana based firm, First Base Sports Group, LLC has seen tremendous growth of its company over the past two years. This growth is prompted by the unique application and originality of its product, the patented PassbackTM Football. The Passback TM Football is the only football of its kind which can be thrown and caught by the same individual.
Company President, Mark J. Shutey of Butte explains the company's evolution from a small start-up business to a global contributor, "Upon founding First Base Sports Group, LLC in 2008, our company set forth on a mission for controlled growth. We initially questioned the application and acceptance of the Passback TM Football within the U.S. football culture, and directed our marketing toward coaches at all levels of organized football. After two years, over 20,000 Passbacks are currently used by countless professional, collegiate and high school football programs around the country for off season training and skill development. The Passback 's success has reached well beyond the borders of the United States and distribution relationships are established through out Canada, Mexico, Germany, Spain, Sweden, New Zealand, Ireland and the U.K."
First Base Sports Group, LLC is now shifting its focus toward retail sales and making its product readily available via sporting goods stores around the globe. To kick off its National Retail Sales Campaign, First Base Sports Group, LLC has entered into a contract with national cable giant, QVC. The Passback TM Football both official and junior size is set to make its National Debut on Tuesday morning June 22, 2010 at 7:00 AM EST via QVC. Upon a successful introductory campaign, several other airings are slated for this fall and Christmas season. The products inventor, Mike McGonigle of Spokane, WA has been selected to be the company's QVC spokesperson and will demonstrate the ball's capabilities on the cable shopping network.
Mr. Shutey comments, "The Passback TM Football has more than proven itself as a quality training tool and now it is time to hit the shelves. These are exciting times for our business and we are grateful for the opportunity to have our products featured on QVC. This immense national exposure should take our company to a new level."
First Base Sports Group, LLC has found additional introductory success and is on the retail shelves of greater than 300 sporting goods stores in the U.S. to include but not be limited to Scheels All Sports (29 stores nationally), The Sports Authority (Team Sales) and Dunham's Sports (191 stores nationally).
