Patricia Berkly LLC Working on Next Book: Bully Beyond the Tower
Online, September 5, 2013 (Newswire.com) - This past summer, Dr. Leah Hollis of Patricia Berkly LLC has extended her commitment to workplace bullying. Her new collection of essays is entitled Bully Beyond the Tower: A Collection of Essays on Workplace Bullying. Throughout the summer, Hollis has disseminated an international call for papers reflecting on workplace bullying. The response included practitioners from India, New Zealand, Hawaii, Texas and New Mexico. The cross section of ideas reflects on human resources, psychology and the human spirit. There are some great perspectives here; some seldom considered in the realm applying to workplace bullying.
Workplace bullying is an international problem, states Hollis. I am pleased with the response to submit essays. The collection of essays will be a peer reviewed collection with a roster of social science experts reviewing the themes and perspectives offered. The goal of this collection is to extend the conversation from Bully In the Ivory Tower which reflected in higher education, to a conversation about workplace bullying across all sectors and venues.
As our respective workplaces truly require innovation and creativity to advance, stemming workplace bullying is a critical element to developing an engaged staff and creating a healthy workplace. By understanding how workplace bullying affects us through cyber space, in person, and through high pressure areas, leaders can develop policies and strategies to help keep staff connected and productive. When employees feel trapped, disrespected and unappreciated, not only are they disengaged, they look elsewhere for employment.
This will be the fourth book produced by Patricia Berkly LLC.
Bully Beyond The Tower is in production phase and should be released in early 2014.
