Patricia M. Dixon of Houston, Texas Signs Book Contract with Your Time Publishing, LLC
Online, December 6, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Your Time Publishing has signed essayist Patricia Dixon of Houston, Texas via New Orleans thanks to the winds of 2005's Hurricane Katrina. Since arriving in Houston, Ms. Dixon has become a Lifetime Member of Gulf Coast Poets and Poetry Works Workshops.
Ms. Dixon recently completed her Master's Degree in Literature from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and is currently pursuing a Stegner Writing Fellowship to Stanford University. Her goal is to be an independent poet, author and college professor. She has affiliated herself with many clubs and associations: Poetry Society of Texas, Gulf Coast Poets, Bay Area Writers League, Academy of American Poets, Writer Sagemont Life Magazine, Editor Marrow Student Literary Journal 2009-Present, Editor Speaking from the Yard: Less than the Least, Ministry Sagemont Church, and Member Sagemont Church, Houston, TX.
Ms. Dixon said, "Praise is What I Do is first and foremost an expression of deep love and commitment to the God. Its words are an outpouring of praise and worship." The poems in this volume cover everything from expressions of praise to poems about controversial issues. This first work with Your Time Publishing is scheduled to launch in February 2011.
