Patriot Golf Foundation to Improve the Lives of Military Veterans and Their Families Through Golf

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., December 18, 2019 (Newswire.com) - The Patriot Golf Foundation, a non-profit headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, will donate funds generated through its Patriot Golf Schools to charities and foundations that support military veterans and their families. Patriot Golf Schools will be hosted across the country and provide a giving platform for corporations and individuals as well as the opportunity to interact during the events with members of the military who served.

The Patriot Golf Schools are the vision of Seth Glasco, a respected golf instructor that was one of the original members of the Nicklaus-Flick Golf Schools. “In 2011, I had the opportunity to spend time with Lt Col Dan Rooney from the Folds of Honor Foundation and became a believer in his foundation and the need to help our military heroes and their families. Golf is proven to be extremely valuable as part of a veteran’s rehabilitation process. Whether it be physical, mental, emotional, or any combination, the game of golf goes a long way in improving these patriots’ lives,” states Glasco. The Patriot Golf School platform will not only raise valuable funds which will be donated to these great causes, but will also involve military veterans in each and every one of the schools and provide them with the tools in order to bring golf into their lives.

The Foundation is being led by Ted Simons, a former Nicklaus Academy executive. “When Seth approached me with this concept, I immediately saw the potential of how we can make a difference in so many veterans’ lives and for their families. It is not just the financial contributions we will make, but also how we can support the healing of the veterans and create a mentoring opportunity for our donors and sponsors of the Patriot Golf Schools.”

The Patriot Golf Schools will be led by one or more of the top golf instructors in the country. The schools will be offered in one to three-day formats. Each Patriot Golf School will include instruction; on-course training; receptions, lunches and dinners; and a Patriot Golf School amenity package.

At the conclusion of each Patriot Golf School, proceeds will be donated to a designated veteran charity.
