Described as "a cross between Kenneth Williams & Liza Minnelli... on acid!" Haslam is fast becoming the Queen of London's cabaret scene having sold out shows at many of London's hottest cabaret venues.

Life In A Gold Fish Bowl explores one mans struggle at trying to fit in. A journey that deals with an obsession with Wonder Woman, dyslexia, drugs, a fire arms conviction and Nichiren Buddhism - all delivered with a splattering of comedy & song!

James trained at Rose Bruford college of Speech & Drama where he attained a bahons degree in acting.Since leaving drama school James has worked extensively as a cabaret performer and comedian. He reached the quarter final stages of The Leicester Square New Comedian Of The Year Competition before having to withdraw from the competition. He has enjoyed sell out shows with his self written cabaret at Pizza On The Park , The Pheasantry Chelsea, Leicester Square Theatre, Union Theatre, Canal Cafe Theatre, Clerkenwell Theatre, Battersea Barge, Selfridges. He has also enjoyed a sell out run at the Camden Festival with his hit show James Haslam Is Touching Cloth!James has also acted as compere and MC for the Make A Wish Foundation event at Home Farm in Kent, The Bobby Moore Cancer Trust. He was also the resident host of London famed variety show Cheese N Crackers.
