Paul's Project Benefits from No Gift Birthday

Paul's Project announced today that it has received more than $400 in cash donations along with in-kind items perfect for the organization's PACKs (Personal Accessory Care Kits) from Ethan Long's 3rd birthday celebration.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL - Paul's Project announced today that it has received more than $400 in cash donations along with in-kind items perfect for the organization's PACKs (Personal Accessory Care Kits) from Ethan Long's 3rd birthday celebration.

Shannon Long, Ethan's mother wanted to give back to Paul's Project and share a lesson with Ethan, his siblings Tiffany and Cody and their friends about embracing the value of charity and community service. After all, Paul's Project was an organization that helped this family through a recent medical crisis Ethan had that found him in All Children's Hospital and Tampa General for more than 5 weeks. What better way to teach children that they are part of a larger community?

"Words cannot even begin to express the appreciation and gratitude that our family has for Paul's Project", said Shannon. "One never thinks that they would be faced with a life or death situation involving their child and Paul's Project helped to ease the pain, with simple everyday necessities that are forgotten when faced with such a critical situation."

Ethan is home, progressing slowly and celebrated his 3rd birthday on January 7th. Guests were asked to donate to Paul's Project. It was an overwhelming success, with parents and kids making direct cash or in-kind donations at the party or at the organization's website. "Paul's Project was inspired by my son Paul's community service project and to see that inspiration spreading to a new group of kids is amazing and goes right to the heart of what we're all about.", said Amy Whitehurst, Founder & CEO of Paul's Project. "To know that we are touching the life of those most in need and those that care for them is what we are all about".
