The Parisian Commodities Futures Exchange has announced that the exchange will be implementing its new online trading platform later this year after its initial testing phase. The new trading system - Trade V1 (working title) uses new technologies and the opinion from PCFEX is that it will set the benchmark for future online commodities trading.

The team working on the project said that the new platform is currently only in its beta stage but it is already showing signs that once the system is completed and fully functional it may well become the industry standard.

Mr. Havera (Head of PCFEX's Online Trading) said "in today's world technology is moving at an ever increasing speed. We knew we needed to build a stable system that would incorporate all of today's technological advances but also be flexible enough to allow for further additions. And we believe we have achieved just that".

Erick Benzi, the man in charge of the development team said, "We're all very excited about Trade V1. Up until now the project has been developed behind closed doors, but now that it's in the testing phase everyone involved is eager to see just how well it performs. It's something we have been working on for a very long time and everyone is very proud of what we have accomplished. We will continue to test the new trading platform but at present the project is well on track and if all goes well it should be available to PCFEX users by the end of 2011."
