PCS Spark Virtual Patients

PCS announced today a landmark agreement with The Colleges and Institutes of Canada (CICan) and Simulation Canada that will bring PCS Spark access to thousands of Canadian EMT and nursing students as part of the Virtu-WIL project. In accordance with the agreement, PCS will develop, in coordination with educators across Canada, innovative digital patient scenarios that leverage the latest in AI technologies.

"This initiative creates sustainable, collaborative partnerships among post-secondary institutions, employers, students and suppliers to develop, implement and distribute much-needed virtual simulation opportunities," as stated by Tim Willett of Simulation Canada.

"We're thrilled to be working with some of the brightest educators in Canada to bring their digital patient vision to PCS Spark," said Balazs Moldovanyi, CEO of PCS. "This is truly a first-of-its-kind initiative and we can't wait to see the positive implications it will have on students across Canada."

The Virtu-WIL initiative helps address the challenges of clinical placements impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic by creating new and innovative virtual ways for healthcare students in nursing, medical laboratory sciences, and paramedicine to acquire competencies and make valuable connections with employers.

PCS is a technology first healthcare simulation company that is headquartered in San Francisco, CA. They develop, market and sell PCS Spark, the most advanced virtual patient platform for healthcare learners of all disciplines.
