Peanut Labs Launches Two New Global Online Panels for the Market Research Industry

Social Media Italy and Social Media Spain to Bolster the Company's International Sample Offering

SAN FRANCISCO - Peanut Labs, the leading provider of social media sample for market research, today announced the launch of two new online panels - Social Media Italy and Social Media Spain. The international sample offerings will provide market researchers with access to Italian and Spanish respondents by profiling an extensive online population of social media users.

According to a recent report by The Nielsen Company, Italy and Spain take second and third place globally, with 78% of internet users regularly using social media sites in Italy and 77% in Spain. Facebook alone captured two-thirds of the active unique Italian audience in April 2010, making the site relatively more popular in Italy than in Australia, the US and the UK.

Throughout 2010, Peanut Labs will continue to open its surveys to countries where social media is undeniably becoming more popular, thus empowering market researchers with the ability to gain the valuable insight they require on a global scale.

At present, the company has 50,000 respondents profiled in Spain and 55,000 respondents profiled in Italy. Each respondent is profiled on basic demographic attributes such as age, gender, ethnicity, geography, household income, level of education and number of children living in the household.
