Pensions & Investments Names Balentine "Best Place to Work"

Online, December 26, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Pensions & Investments named Balentine one of its "Best Places to Work in Money Management" in its December 10, 2012 issue. Balentine, an Atlanta-based independent, employee-owned firm serving individuals, families and not-for-profit institutions, is one of 15 firms nation-wide to receive this honor. Balentine placed second among firms with fewer than 100 employees. Founded in 2009, Balentine currently has 24 employees and $1.6 billion in assets under management.

The 2012 study is the inaugural Best Places to Work in Money Management list for Pensions & Investments, who partnered with Buck Consulting. The process included an employer survey and a separate, anonymous employee survey.

As part of its commitment to human capital, Balentine recently completed its first annual employee survey, with questions addressing issues ranging from health benefits to continuing education. As part of Balentine's continuing education program, employees participate in an educational Lunch & Learn series that covers a range of investment subjects. Additionally, the entire firm gathers weekly for updates from each department and a "roundtable," where each staff member is encouraged to speak up on any matters related to the good of the firm.
