eAgnosis, Ltd., the world's most rapidly growing manufacturer of psychological diagnostic software systems, announced today its new internet-based tool for periodic assessment of attention function and impulsivity.

This tool provides a comparative report on attention-related functions assessed over time and is a follow-up development of the internet-based Continuous Performance Test System, a telemedicine tool supporting the diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The system test for ADHD symptoms and attention function from the privacy of the costumers' homes or clinics, and accommodates normative testing for all ages from 6 to 80 years. Test results are available immediately upon completion, and offer information about additional assessments and treatment planning.
There is great importance for periodic follow-up assessment of the functional state of attention and impulsivity, comparing it to previous tests.

Comparing test performance with and without medication, or before, during, and after cognitive-behavioral therapy or other forms of treatment can inform both patients and professionals about the effectiveness of therapy.

The system was developed by scientists and clinicians, who are experts in child and adult ADHD, lead by Prof. Bar Haim, Department of Psychology, Tel Aviv University and Dr. Dan Department of Psychology University of Haifa.

"The primary target of eAgnosis Ltd. is the development of professional internet-based neuropsychological assessments. We at eAgnosis believe that parents and children alike should have easy and affordable access to accurate and professional neuropsychological information concerning their well being. We also believe that professionals should have easy access to valid and reliable tools for neuropsychological testing" said Prof Yair Bar Haim. "The system was designed to allow parents and professionals to obtain a preliminary and reliable assessment of the likelihood that a child or patient suffers from ADHD, and to follow-up on treatment efficacy. The main idea behind the system is not trying to replace the diagnostic procedure conducted by practicing professionals but rather add another layer of information before and during treatment" said Dr. Orrie Dan.
