PerSys Medical Training Center Partners with ACTNT Healthcare Services to Hold an AHA ACLS Renewal Course

Online, April 27, 2010 (Newswire.com) - PerSys Medical Training Center will partner with ACTNT Healthcare Services, an American Heart Association authorized provider of CPR and ECC courses, to offer an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Renewal Course. The course is scheduled for Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 8:00-1:30pm at the PerSys Medical Training Center (PMTC) located on 5310 Elm Street in Houston, Texas.

The ACLS course was developed by the American Heart Association for health care providers who may be required to direct or participate in the resuscitation of adults. ACLS emphasizes the importance of basic life support, its integration with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions, and the importance of effective team interaction during resuscitation.

Through the ACLS Renewal course, health care professionals will enhance their knowledge and sharpen their skills of patient resuscitation individually and as part of a team through simulated clinical scenarios that involve active, hands-on participation. The course will focus on proficiency in the recognition and initial care of peri-arrest conditions as well as management of cardiac arrest.

The course fee is $120 and does not include the AHA textbook. Participants are strongly encouraged to have a Basic Life Support Card or proficiency in BLS, though these are not prerequisites for the course. For further information, please visit us at www.ps-med.com/training.
