Petite Selects Earns Coveted AKA "Seal of Approval"
Founded in 2008 by Ronit Cohen Bentolila and Tammy Furman, who are moms, chefs, and businesswomen, Nature's Select Food Group is a family-oriented company that promotes healthy eating for healthy lives.
Online, March 22, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Nature's Select Food Group's Petite Select brand is pleased to announce its newest honor: Ashley Koff Approved, "the stamp of quality nutrition for optimal health."
Petite Select was created by Ronit Cohen Bentolila, a mother with her children, and their nutrition, in mind. The brand uses all organic and Glatt kosher meats and poultry and is a healthy alternative for parents looking to avoid processed and vitamin-deficient baby foods.
Co-founder of Nature's Select Food Group, Bentolila commented, "We are so excited to have been awarded the seal of approval from AKA. We are honored to be included in the round up of healthy products!"
To ensure quality and to retain nutrients, Petite Select's varieties are prepared in small batches and flash frozen. The brand is the first to exclusively feature Glatt Kosher and organic meats and poultry.
The eclectic line includes Petite Shepherd's Pie, Pasta Bolognese, Beef Barley and a vegan and gluten free variety called Mango Jambo. Each serving is sold in two 4-ounce packages (113 grams) and is packaged in BPA-free plastic containers. These will soon be available in biodegradable paper tubs. Nature's Select is committed to building healthy eating habits for the entire family with ethical business practices that respect the earth and the environment.
Ashley Koff, a registered dietitian who strives to make better nutrition a way of life, was named by Citysearch as LA's "Best Nutritionist" three years running. She makes frequent appearances on media outlets such as The Huffington Post, Good Morning America Health, E! News, O, The Oprah Magazine, and Redbook, and is the resident nutritionist for the CW's "Shedding for the Wedding," and the upcoming Lifetime network's "Love Handles."
"The AKA stamp confirms that a product has been evaluated and approved by me, as a better quality and healthy choice. More specifically, it means that the product does not contain any nutrition 'no, no's,'" Koff said.
