Philanthropy Miami Non-Profit Education Day to Inspire South Florida Charities To Innovate, Raise More and Help More
Online, March 7, 2013 (Newswire.com) - LEAVE A LEGACY© hosts PHILANTHROPY MIAMI, a nonprofit education day for executives and newcomers to fundraising, on Thursday, March 14, featuring a full slate of workshops, panel discussions and speakers designed to inspire charitable groups to reach higher with their fundraising, community outreach and volunteer campaigns.
The all-day event from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hilton Miami Downtown, 1601 Biscayne Blvd., kicks off with Susan Packard, co-founder of HGTV. Packard changed how people envision their homes and, in the process, established a new model for business innovation and success. She brings her message and strategies to help South Florida non-profits promote their causes, gain supporters and adopt innovative strategies to secure a greater market share in a competitive environment.
PHILANTHROPY MIAMI features two separate tracks: Fundraising Basics, an intensive overview for those new to fundraising and development and Toolkits, geared to those who have more experience in the field. Toolkits will showcase strategies non-profits can use to increase their donations and the number of ongoing supporters.
PHILANTHROPY MIAMI is sponsored by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation; Bank of America; Wells Fargo; Baptist Health South Florida Foundation; Florida International University; Peacock Foundation, Inc.; and SunTrust
