Philips Public Signage introduces largest range of interactive Multi User Touch Displays

MMD, the exclusive marketer and reseller for Philips-branded LCD monitors and public signage displays worldwide today announced the launch of its latest range of the BDT Multi-Touch Series.

The new BDT Multi-touch Series consists of 30 different Multi-Touch products in various categories. The sizes of the Philips Multi-touch screens range from 32", 42", 55" right up to the biggest at 65", as well as different sizes of Touch Tables, Touch Kiosks, indoor and outdoor Touch Totems being available. The Touch technique may differ, depending on the intended purpose, and also the amount of simultaneous touch points is diverse. The vast majority of products in the BDT Multi-touch Series is Multi-user conducted.

The BDT Multi-Touch Series combines the mentality of the Philips brand in terms of durability, reliability, environmental performance and the firmly tested different touch techniques. The touch techniques that are incorporated in the new BDT Series are:
• Optical Touch Imaging for cost-effective solutions, 2 Touch Points simultaneously.
• Infrared Touch for accuracy and Multi-User experience, 6 or 32 Touch Points simultaneously.
• Capacitive Touch practical for (outdoor) public use and easy to clean, 2 Touch Points simultaneously

"Now Touch has truly entered in many products and people are more involved, we see the need to interact and simultaneously communication. With the new Multi-User Touch Series we are ready for the future ," explained Wilfred de Man, Sales and Marketing Director of MMD Public Signage EMEA.

One of the highlights in the BDT Series is a 55" Multi-User Touch Table based on the first Philips 55" LED Touch Screen, the BDT5530ET/32. The Touch Table is placed on a cabinet to work at an ergonomic height and the screen itself is 75 mm thin. The cabinet has space for a PC tower it is conducted with a lockable door and air fan, network and power connections.

Some of the BDT Series have extra individual features. For example the BDT4225EM/32 is a Multi-User Touch Screen which also can be used in horizontal position. It is supplied with four, 8 cm high, stainless steel feet which can be screwed at the back corners of the touch screen. This feature turns the Multi-User Touch Screen into a Touch Table. The VM series are equipped with a Smart Insert where a mini PC can be placed, without adding to the overall depth of the display. This ensures the simplest of installations when mounting via a VESA bracket.

"This exciting range of touch displays enhances our already wide range of LCD displays, and shows our commitment to delivering performance interactive displays to everyone's fingertips" concluded de Man.
