Phillip Gavriel's Spring 2018 Collection Unveiled

The third generation New York jeweler introduces a collection for the first time in gold.
Popcorn Gold

If anyone knows gold, it’s Phillip Gavriel ®.  He is third in line and heir to a gold jewelry dynasty that spans over 40 years. The brand, a division of the Royal Chain Group, is introducing its Popcorn Collection in gold at the end of this month. For spring 2018, the collection will feature updated additions to the brand’s iconic collection, including pieces set in all gold with diamonds. The collection, extremely popular with retailers in 2017 was only available in sterling silver and accented with 18kt gold.

Retailers and consumers alike have embraced Phillip Gavriel’s vision that fine jewelry should be accessible to a larger audience and welcome the developing trend of consumers wearing fine jewelry as every day staples, instead of only for special occasions. After a stellar growth year, with retailers reporting higher ticket sales and a renewed interest in gold, the brand felt it was timely to introduce the gold collection along with a higher price-point. The collection will feature approximately 15 designs ranging from stackable bracelets with diamonds to vintage 80’s inspired earrings.

Designer Phillip Gabriel Maroof, the man behind the brand, said the inspiration for this collection stemmed primarily from wanting to create something special to mark the 40th year anniversary of Royal Chain, the company started by his father Paul Maroof and his grandfather in 1978.  The pieces which are all 14kt gold and made in Italy, pay homage to the origins of Royal Chain’s early days as a gold jewelry supplier, and to the designer’s training in Italy.  The brand will kick off the new collection in February with a new catalog, heavy promotion on social media, and a print campaign in Harper’s Bazaar. The new campaign tagline “Make Every Day an Occasion” is meant to convey the message of the everyday wearability of these pieces.
