Phoenix Station Opens In Boalan, Zamboanga City, Philippines

Online, March 2, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Councilor Benjamin "Nonong" Guingona graced the opening of the third Phoenix fuel station along Lobregat High-way in Boalan last Saturday February 25, 2012.

The inauguration was kicked off with a long motorcade from Boalan to the city proper and vice versa.

Guigona represented Mayor Celso Lobregat in the cutting of ceremonial ribbon together with the Nee family and the Buddhist monks.

Guigona said the opening of the new fuel station is an indication that the city is growing and progressing, he said the new fuel station is a big help to the motorists in the east coast.

The soft opening of Boalan station was held last January 31, 2012. A pharmacy cum convenient store and a motor vehicle shop can be found beside the Boalan fuel station that is open from 6a.m. to 8p.m. daily with five pump boys to serve the motor vehicles.

The station's depot is located in Barangay Talisayan.

On the other hand, GD Automotive Service Center, founded in 2008, a Boalan based automotive repair shop serving local residences. Due to demand, their small shop expanded to a nine bays facility with a large crew of certified TESDA NC II, including electrician, body builder, AC specialist, automotive painter, expert service writing staff, and office staff.
