The winning photo was chosen by site members from a total of 13 nominated photographs with almost 20% of the votes.

Winston Rockwell won the latest photograph of the month contest with a photo titled Shuksan Afternoon. The winning photo depicted photograph of Mount Shuksan in the North Cascades National Park in Washington State. This was the first Photograph of the Month award received by Rocky, who also won the 2006 Photograph of the Year contest.
