PhysioActive Scales Up Its Operations With Two More Physiotherapists Joining Its Ranks

Faced with a surge in demand from new clients eager to avail its orthopedic services PhysioActive has increased the head count to offer physiotherapy services to a wider clientele

PhysioActive, the Ontario based orthopedic & sports Injury centre, has announced the recruitment of two more physiotherapists at its Vaughan facility. This increase in headcount is to cope with the ever increasing demand from clients for its acknowledged musculoskeletal services including physiotherapy, massage therapy and acupuncture that it offers to its clients.

The Vaughan Physiotherapy facility presently has a large number of highly talented, experienced and professionally qualified physiotherapists who provide a variety of orthopedic services using a combination of osteopathy, naturopathy, massage and physiotherapy . The two new physiotherapists, Hermina Vas and Andrew Conroy are expected to further help PhysioActive widen its geographical base and provide orthopedics and sport treatments to a larger section of the community.

Hermina Vas -Physiotherapist
A graduate from the University of Toronto with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy, Hermina Vas brings to PhysioActive her several years of experience as a physiotherapist. She had earlier completed her undergraduate degree at McMaster University receiving an Honors Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Sociology.

To further enhance her knowledge in physiotherapy and to widen her knowledge in every form of musculoskeletal services, she is currently pursuing an advanced training in manual therapy offered through the orthopedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is also taking various other courses specializing in orthopedics, anatomy, physiology and sport injuries.

An acknowledged authority on acupuncture, she combines her physiotherapy skills with acupuncture to effectively treat people of all ages. It is expected that her intrinsic knowledge of all forms of musculoskeletal treatments and her wide experience will indeed prove immensely beneficial to each and every patient

Andrew Conroy PT- Physiotherapist
A specialist in orthopedic and sports injury rehabilitation since 1989, Andrew Conroy PT has an up-to-date and thorough knowledge of the latest surgical approaches to both upper and lower extremities and their post-operative rehabilitation. He also has experience treating a wide range of non-surgical conditions successfully.

He is also a passionate teacher having been an instructor in numerous community settings covering such topics as 'Back care and Lifting' for health care workers and the 'Benefits of exercise' for the diabetic and coronary health community. He has been a clinical instructor for many PT students and is a credentialed clinical instructor with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

He brings all his academic and teaching abilities to the consultation room and ensures that each patient has a thorough understanding of their condition and the approach to treatment. His constant pursuit of knowledge through completion of numerous post-graduate courses allows delivery of precise targeted treatment to achieve successful outcomes for patients and the attainment of their goals.
