Piano-Yoga® Retreat at Kings Place a Huge Success!

On the 12th February Piano-Yoga® returned to the refreshing environs of the sparkling new world-class music venue, Kings Place!

Piano-Yoga® - the miracle piano technique which allowed its creator, GeNIA, to return to the podium just 10 weeks after breaking her wrist - returned to the refreshing environs of the sparkling new world-class music venue, Kings Place, where Piano-Yoga® retreats were first launched earlier in 2011. Russian virtuoso pianist GeNIA shared the cutting-edge piano method that is Piano-Yoga® with pianists looking to transform their playing and gain a more in-depth insight into the Piano-Yoga® philosophy and lifestyle of well-being.

This year's Piano-Yoga® Retreat was a huge success with more participants than ever before. Thanks to the spacious Limehouse Room at Kings Place, the sparkling new world-class music venue, GeNIA, the creator of Piano-Yoga®, was able to effectively demonstrate the cutting-edge Piano-Yoga® technique to a large audience. Kings Place was also the perfect venue for the group masterclasses 'Finding your own musical interpretation', 'Mastering sight-reading skills' and 'Exercises for combating stage nerve' as it provided a large room for group work, yet retained a cosy atmosphere that wonderfully enhanced the group well-being. GeNIA was also delighted to welcome back so many familiar faces from previous Piano-Yoga® Retreats, and was glad they were finding the Piano-Yoga® technique and the Retreats very helpful.

More Piano-Yoga® Retreats are planned for 2012 in some of London's world class and most well-known music venues. Interested pianists should keep an eye on the Piano-Yoga® website and sign up to the Piano-Yoga® newsletter for the very latest updates.

About Piano-Yoga®:

A piano method for the 21st century...

Created by Russian virtuoso pianist GeNIA, and recently adopted by celebrities such as X-factor star Laura White and television presenter Sue Perkins, the Piano-Yoga® method offers a unique system of piano playing which combines the fundamentals of the Russian piano school with principles from Eastern philosophy and yoga, utilising aspects of movement, gravity and breathing to create a more natural and organic approach to piano playing, performing and teaching. Central to the method is a series of technical exercises Transform Your Hands: a Complete Ten-Week Course of Piano Exercises, available in paperback and as an e-book. Piano-Yoga® also organises workshops, retreats, masterclasses, one-to-one tuition, and the method is suitable for pianists of all levels.

'It really does work... Many ailing pianists have been helped with this unorthodox and unusual method.' Piano Professional Magazine
