Pink Beards' Midwest/Southeast U.S.A. Tour for Breast Cancer Awareness

Springfield/Dayton, Ohio, August 27, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Pink Beards for Breast Cancer are touring the Midwest/Southeast U.S.A. holding concerts to raise funds for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, American Cancer Society. 

"In 2010, I found out that a good friend's mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. I wanted to do something to show support, so I dyed my beard pink and posted it on Facebook." says Michael Compton, Founder, " As a touring musician, I have friends all over United States and Europe, the response was astounding."

Compton created an event with music and merchandise to support the cause in 2010. The first concerts were held in Panama City, FL and Springfield, OH. The Pink Beards for Breast Cancer following has grown since and events have been held every year in 3 states and 4 cities.

Tour stops will include music from Michael Compton Music, with local, regional, and national supporting acts, Pink Beard merchandise, raffles for local goods and services and the "Best Pink Beardo" contest. The tour will begin at Chap's Saloon on Saturday, September 27 in Springfield, OH and have Events in Nashville, Tuscaloosa, Troy, AL, Marianna, FL, Panama City Beach and back to Ohio for the tour finale on Friday, October 17 at Oddbody's Music Room, Dayton, OH. Tickets are $5-$15 at the door (depending on location) and include a raffle ticket; additional raffle tickets may be purchased at the door for $5.
