PlanetVA Launches World's First App That Simplifies In-store Eyewear (Pre-)Selection Process
A new innovative simplified process for in-store frame selections is now available on iPad tablets
Online, October 23, 2012 (Newswire.com) - For many of us, the most important aspect of choosing optical frames or sunglasses is how they look on our face. The eyewear client could try on every pair of eyeglasses in the store to find out how each one looks, but narrowing down one's choices in advance can save a lot of time and aggravation. The client could determine his/her face shape and understand which eyeglass frame styles would look best, but now there is an easier and more innovative way available which assists the pre-selection of the frame shape.
With the newly developed iPad App, called eyeAdvise, the dispenser can now assist the client by simply taking a picture and let eyeAdvise automatically superimpose nine different (most common) frame shapes on the client's photo. Next, the retailer could show those in-store frames that have similar shapes to the client's preference of the previous pre-selection step. The retailer can then use the digital mirror functionality of eyeAdvise to capture up-to four pictures of the client wearing those frames. As for those clients wishing to get an instant second opinion from their loved ones, the App also allows for emailing the captured images and eventually share it with their friends on Facebook and Twitter.
eyeAdvise works great on iPad 2 and the new iPad which has a retina display that allows to point out subtle features and detailing found on higher value frames. eyeAdvise can be easily set up to display in English, French, German, Spanish, and Dutch. eyeAdvise can also be fully branded with your company name and there is a possibility to enter the client's name.
