Planned Parenthood and Baby Body Parts Trafficking: Nothing New

Author, Deborah M. Piccurelli states that according pro-life organization, Life Dynamics, Planned Parenthood is and has been engaging in fetal harvesting of aborted baby body parts for monetary gain for many years. Her book, Hush, Little Baby, though fiction, depicts similar events documented by Life Dynamics' investigation into the trafficking of body parts by abortion clinics in the 1990's.

] An article on The Daily Beast website refutes claims made by a video that has been released by The Center for Medical Progress that Planned Parenthood is trafficking in the body parts of aborted babies. “I have viewed the full, more than two-hour video,” says author, Deborah M. Piccurelli, “and the statements in that article appear to be correct—on the surface.”

“Knowing what I learned in researching my book, Hush, Little Baby,” continues Piccurelli, “yes, transferring human tissue is legal in the United States, provided that payments are for processing and transportation costs. But years ago, when there were “wholesalers” who went into the clinics and rented space to procure the body parts, the processing, storage and shipping fees were outrageously inflated. Therefore, everybody involved won. Except for the unborn child.”

“The information I received from Life Dynamics, the pro-life organization that investigated these heinous acts by Planned Parenthood clinics and their affiliates, is documented proof of what went on for a period of three years. Additionally, you’ll find testimonies on the Life Dynamics website of former Planned Parenthood workers about the horrors they’ve witnessed.”

“So what makes Planned Parenthood any different today?” questions Piccurelli. “The wholesalers have crawled under the woodwork, but now you have the procurement companies partnering with them. While watching that video, for me, it came down to reading between the lines. First of all, if there is no financial gain involved, what was the incentive for the Planned Parenthood representative to meet with the buyers? She spent over two-and-a-half hours with them. Then, topics that surfaced during the conversation dealt with the partial-birth abortion law, which this doctor opines is ‘up to interpretation.’; how the techniques can be changed in order to keep certain parts that are ordered intact (changing the presentation, which means position of the baby); Supreme Court; that the clinics want to break even, but if they do a little better than break even . . .; how procurement companies make bids. I believe many would agree that this seems like an awful lot of time and work without some kind of worthwhile compensation.”
